...and I don't mean, as in are there are other life forms out there. I mean you're not alone, personally, even when it may feel like you are. Many have gone before you, and many will go where you tread now. Reach out. You're not alone. by JessGonacha - who has lots of other beautiful artwork!
It's +10 degrees C (50 F) here in Vancouver (it feels warmer in the sunshine!) and I'm thinking summer........ I want to try a maxi dress. Now - it's important to note, I'm only 5 feet tall, and I'm not sure that I can pull it off.....but if I can, I'm all over it for this upcoming summer. It just seems so....floaty, fluttery, boho...love it. Anyways, above is ideally how I'd put it together. PS. Don't you love the woodgrain on that cuff?? Below are a few more maxi dresses I also came across that I thought would work for me. Who knows - guess I'll have to brave the terrible lighting and cramped change rooms somewhere to find out. --------- above: dress - American Eagle Outfitters; necklace - Aldo; cuff - MyJewelryDeals; short sleeve sweater -Old Navy; sandals - Steve Madden
April showers bring May flowers......another beautiful selection of gorgeous Etsy artworks. SarahJaneStudios is a mother of two, whose specialty is Illustrating Childhood. Her works make me reminisce about my own childhood; particularly the snowy quiet of Winter Cheer. This collection of art definitely reveals my tenderness for children :)
Anyone who knows me, knows I love flip flops. I also just love sandals in general. I have a great pair of white linen trousers that I bought last year - and they *need* new sandals. I'm thinking something open-toed with a wedge (they're a little long. Or I'm a little short. Whatever). If the pants were shorter (or maybe if I get them hemmed) - I'd wear the flips on the bottom. Mm. Lovely.
I ordered my first piece of art on etsy, from a fellow Canadian - Hillarie Tasche. I am creative, but I am no artist - which is why I'm always impressed by people who can paint, draw, illustrate, things that actually come out looking like the items they mean it to. I love Hillarie's simple, yet detailed art, and when I received my two prints, they were even better in person than what I had seen online. Gorgeous vibrant colours and wonderful talent. You need to check out her store - the line of bicycles is so awesome.
Easter's coming (mmmmm Cream Eggs...........)! I'm not a huge boiled egg eater, but darned if I don't love a sweet egg cup :) I have a VW CamperVan egg cup, which is a souvenir a friend of mine brought back from Britain. It's pink, and has a cute little surfboard (that doubles as a salt shaker) which nests inside the egg-holding divet. And that's what got me on to this collection. Above are some neat, whimsical ones I found that you can actually use. Below are egg cups that have been used for something else.
